Comments: Nice site. I was with the 11 ACR 67/68 3rd Squadron. K troop and Recovery section of the Squadron Maintenance.Spent many days and nights with the 919th usually helping remove combat losses. Some security of course. Gia Ray man I hated that place. I remember up on Rt 20 trying to cut down a Teak Wood tree with a machetie. First time I spoke to a 919th guy. He smiled and said good luck. Comments: So sorry to inform you guys that James Hill 1/70-12/70 passed away yesterday. He had been on life support since last week. He had stopped breathing shortly after hr arrived and his brain was without oxygen for about 20 min. He was in the VA Hospital in OKC. He also had 2 caridac arrest.
His funeral will be at the Fort Gibson National Cemetery at Ft Gibson OK, on Jan 6th at 2:00pm.
His daughter is Jennifier Goodwin, 601 S Vista, Lot 263, Edmond, OK 73034
If you wish to send a card or flowers you cand send them to her or to the cemetery under his name on day of funeral...
I had talked to him a couple of weeks ago and he was in good spirit and didn't complain about anything bothering him. sure caught me by supprise.

Does anyone have ant information on Marty's time in country 3/70 to 5/71? I need to fill in some holes and who better than 919 people.

Comments: trained with the 919th at fort hood, tx then went to viet nam in august 1966. I was on track 21 ssg alonzo was my squad leader. is there anyone from the same time period still hanging around.
