Comments: My father, Sgt. Sidney Fischer, was a very proud member of the 11th Cavalry, 36th Recon Squadron. Dad passed away on October 12, 2010. For those of you who remember him, he was known as "Fish" and served at Normandy, the Battle of the Bulge, the Low Countries and in Germany. I would love to hear from anyone who knew him or served with him in Europe during World War II.
