Hello 11th Cav,

I'm looking for information Colonel James Steele Vietnam War service. http://premierespeakers.com/jim_steele/bio.

According to available bios, General Patton Jr., described the man, 'as the best small unit combat leader he had witnessed during two wars.'

I'd like to find out:

1. What operations was involved in, in Vietnam?

2. What did Patton Jr. see in the man to give him such a compliment?

3. What was his rank during the Vietnam War?

4. Did he ride on top of a tank or M113?

5. How old was he during his tour?

Any leads on these questions would be much appreciated.

I will attending my first reunion (29 annual reunion) here in Las Vegas and looking forward to meeting with all of the members. I am really looking forward to seeing the young men, I say yong men, because I was 30yrs old while most of the guys who served with me, July 68- July 68 were between 19-21 yrs old. I served as 2nd plt leader F trp and with HHC rear det.

Looking for anyone who may have been with my family member, Roy Lollis Lipscomb, who passed in Tay Ninh on 4/29/1969. He was Sgt. in 2nd platoon G troop. I have no pics and know nothing about him. I wasn't born til '72. All I know is he was on my maternal grandmother's side. Thank you to anyone who can help and God Bless all!!! I have 3 other members of my family that served but they came home.

On April 5, 2013, a comment was post by CPT Adam's next of kin. CPT was one of the pilots on the chopper that was shot down April 12, 1970. There was not contact information listed. I was on that chopper. Does anyone know the contact information?
