I am married to the former Kitty Howard, the widow of CPT Anse B. Howard, MD. He was assigned to the 37th Medical Company from Sept. 1968 to Sept. 1969.
Kitty would like to hear from anyone who served with him in Vietnam.
Please respond to <hobohills@yahoo.com> if you knew AB.

Thanks, David Lebow.

Guys,

I writing you in hopes that someone can help me contact my TC. Here is some background information. I was assigned by the 37th Medical Company at Blackhorse to HHT 2/11 around 17th of May 1969. The following day I was attached to G Trp., 2/11 a first platoon medic. On June 7th. our platoon was involved in a day long fire-fight with an NVA company dug in at an abandoned village south of An Loc. Our commanding officer Claude Hudson was awarded the DSC for his actions that day along with a E-6 TC. I believe my track was 1.3. Our senior medic that day was Olin Parks. We made our way back to Quan Loi with most of our 50 cals out of operation. I remember the next day chaplains were chopper in for services, we lost 2 or 3 troopers that day.

Shortly after that we were ordered to travel to Loc Ninh to relieve troops that were in heavy contact with the NVA/VC. As we were mounting up our lieutenant came by and order me to report to the airfield. Due to Red Cross intervention I was being order back to the States due to a medical emergency my pregnant wife was having. That temporary leave was changed to a compassionate reassignment to Selfridge AF base which was close to our home. I finished out my last 6 months at Selfridge. The TC and I exchanged a few letters after that I no longer have. I would really like to find him if he is still living and tell him how important those letters were to me.

To all my brothers from Alpha Troop:
I am still recovering from my open hearth surgery, feeling stronger every day, thanks to God, prayers and skilled surgeons. I am planning to be around for a while, so help me God. Every day I send my prayers and ask God to bless Alpha Troop 68/69/70. Romero, thank you.

Allons,
