Got this on my blog, dated 6 July 2018, concerning a post 30 Jan 2010 on Leopoldo Castillo:

“My name is Luis Cirilo formerly from Alice, Texas that now resides in St. Paul Minnesota. My friend and comrade Leo Castillo served in Vietnam and last saw him in Ft. Sam Houston and Ft. Hood in Texas. I have been trying to find him since 1968 after we parted company at Ft. Hood. Leo was a very dedicated Trooper who knew his craft as a Warrior and LRRP. We spent time together in Nam and in the states. I do not know of his whereabouts but I am trying to find him as well as members of the 11th Armored Cavalry Regiment’s annual reunions yearly. If anybody sees this post feel free to contact me at luiscrilio73@gmail.com. It is important to me and other comrades.”

Master roster search shows Sgt. Luis Cirilo, I Troop, 1 Feb 67-29 Feb 68.

I am the daughter of Charles D Patton. Air Cav Trp. Jan 67-Jan 68. I am looking for anyone that knew him and has stories of him they would be willing to share. He passed away several years ago. I have three children that he never met and would love to be able to tell them about him. My son age 10 is especially interested. If anyone could share anything with me I would really appreciate it.

my dads name is Walter Louis Trace, he was the platoon leader of the 3rd platoon "36" D Company 1/11 ( D Co. XO 1/11 ACR) October 69-October 70. He's been thinking a lot lately about the guys in his platoon, and wants to look them up and see what they are doing these days. If anyone knows of anyone in his platoon or was in his platoon, please send us a message!

Dear Friends, I served in the US Navy. We have some similar experiences. In 1971 I was in Beach Jumper Unit 1 Coronado, CA. (Part of Naval Special Warfare Group) I deployed to Okinawa, and from there was sent with a small team to Kampong Som, Cambodia, on a short mission. When we left Cambodia, all records of our trip were destroyed. As far as I knew, me and my 2 men, were the only US people in Cambodia. Only recently at a Native American Pow Wow I met other veterans who had similar experiences, no records remain. One other veteran, from 1st Marines, had a similar story to mine. Do any of you have similar experiences? I would like to compare with you. Thank You, Sincerely Roy Coutinho

I was with HHT 1/11 from 12/68 To 03/69. I drove an ACAV. I was pulling a 500 gallon water tank. When trying to take the hitch off the receiver it was too heavy and the 2 or 3 of us couldn’t hold it up. It fell on my left leg and broke it in two places. I was airlifted to a field hospital and eventually sent home. I don’t remember my track commanders name or the other two on my track. Does anyone remember this? Also I would like to know who was our CO at the time. Thank you.
