I check in on this site often. I am not on Facebook or twitter etc so check here.

If you are a 1st TIMER coming to the reunion I'll give you a couple of tips. The BANQUET Sat night is not formal clothing. You can wear more of an office or church type clothes. The other days are casual mostly T- shirts or golf type shirts and jeans or shorts (no short shorts please).
The Bunker is where everyone goes to sit around tables and talk. To find your troop just look for the little "flags" with troop letters or names on them.
Hope this helps newbies. I know we wondered about these things before our first reunion. Didn't know whether to post this here or on visitors guestbook etc. Meant to send it in to see if THUNDER RUN would be interested. Thanks

Hello_
I check here everyday to see if anyone is using this site. Alas, I am the last one to use it more than a year ago.
It's probably because we are on Facebook now. Not sure, just a guess.
If you go to this site, please take time to stop and "say Hello."
It's a free site where we can comment, a site offered my the men's organization. I wish we would use it more.
In the meantime, please keep using our Facebook page though, PLEASE!

See you in Orlando!
Kathy
Women's Group Co-coordinator!

Hello, and do you all agree - What a reunion we had in Georgia! The dedication at Fort Benning was both moving and memorable, as was Saturday's memorial service. What a beautiful message the young Vietnamese woman, a refuge now an American, who shared her humbling words with all of us! The rest was gravy to a wonderful reunion! Thank you to our men's board for working so hard these past years to make it great!

Hi!
I don't know where the past year has gone, but we are just a month away from the 30th annual reunion of the 11th ACVVC!
I, for one, can't wait to see all of you at Columbus, GA. All of these reunions are filled with deep meaning, but this one holds special significance with the dedication of the Vietnam Monument that pays homage to those Blackhorse who paid the ultimate price!
While we gather next month and enjoy one another's company once again, let's not forget those who didn't make it home.
See you soon, when we meet again ... Kathy

Hello!
For those who haven't checked Facebook or the website, our women's tour set for the Fort Benning Reunion is sold out! Good news for us who did the planning, but not for those who missed getting in.

It's hard to plan numbers for events such as this because the Blackhorse Women's Group has had only one other outing in the past many years.
With this tour we more than surpassed that first outing attendance numbers, so it's good to know we are gaining interest.

The biggest thing in this is a simple reminder: Women- As we say every year at our annual meeting and in the Thunder Run, please read every issue of your husband's Thunder Run as soon as possible and sign up for any future outings as quickly as you can. If we get more than expected sooner rather than later, we might be able to add on to the reservations.

The men's board still has a lot of great sightseeing options at Fort Benning and Columbus so those who didn't make it on our tour will still have good options!
See you soon!
