Hello 11th Armored Cav. I was a donut dollie in Black Horse in May, June, and July in 1967. I recently picked up an old copy of our tiny weekly newspaper and saw the Black Horse patch under a picture I was looking for...what a surprise! It brought back a lot of memories. To anyone reading this, I wish you well and hope you have enjoyed many happy years since those days. If you ever pass through Hohenwald, I'll buy you lunch. Don't show up on a school day though because I am still teaching math at the local high school. :) Verna

Admin reply: Why not attend a reunion. I'll bet there would be troopers there that would love to see you.

The Documentary Group, formerly Peter Jenning's Productions, is producing a feature length documentary on West Point's graduating Class of 1967. The film is being produced in cooperation with the West Point Center for Oral History.

One member of the class, Tom White, served in the 11th ACR Blackhorse and eventually became Secretary of the Army. If you served in the 11th ACR Blackhorse and have any photographs or slides of Tom White during his time in Vietnam, we would be very grateful if you allowed us to use them in the film. We would pay for shipping and handling to our offices in New York City and return the photographs immediately after scanning them.

For further discussion, I can be reached at the email link to the left or by phone at 212.456.5162. Thank you.

In loving memory of my brother Sgt John P. Bradley. He served with the Blackhorse Regiment 11th Cavalry 1st Squad Troop C in Vietnam. My brother passed away Nov. 2009 from cancer. He rarely spoke of the war. I thought someone might remember him who could share info with me.
