Comments: November 21,1966. A convoy lead by 1st Lieutenant Neil Keltner leaves Long Bien on highway 1 to Long Giao and the Blackhorse base camp in Xuan Loc. Half way there,near Ap Hung Nghia, highway 1 drops sharply to a stream bed, where the 274th Viet Cong Regiment launched their attack from the high grass & jungle. The ambush that day took the lives of Russell L Halley, Jimmy L Rhodes, Harry Lee Powers and Ray E Johnson.,But it did not take their memory, or those of the brave men who served that day! My family and I know & remember that experience today because Bill Waller, C-Troop, 1966-67 taught us never to forget.

Comments: Johnnie H. Kramer has passed away on Nov. 9, 2011. He was with the 11th Armored Cav. Served in VN from 1970-1971 I believe. He died in his home in Shelbyville Indiana.

Comments: My family and I would like to take a moment to show our respect by saying to all the Blackhorse troopers "thank you for your service & sacrifice". We promised Bill Waller,C-troop, 1966-67 that we will teach our children the way he taught us to never forget.
