My father Julio G Flores served under the 11 cav back in 1969-70. He passed away back in 2003 and left my brothers and I wondering what he experience with his unit. I served with the 5/14 marines artillery in Iraq. I would enjoy to meet any brother in arms that my father served with. Any help would be appreciated. I would plan a trip for this years reunion also. Thank you.

I’m hoping my Blackhorse friends (especially H Co. vets) can help. At the month of December in the new 2013 11th ACVVC calendar is a picture of H Co. troopers, either 1st or 3rd platoon, and I want to find out who the other men are. I think the picture was taken approx. April 1968 or a bit earlier. The platoon sergeant at the far left (with * * * in shirt pocket) is my dad, Psgt. Glenn Nicholson. He was KIA on May 5, 1968. If you recognize any of the others, please contact me at: Phone: 316-558-5509 or e-mail: jadietz@cox.net ...Thanks...Judith (Nicholson) Dietz...

Attempting to contact any members of Bravo Troop, from September 1969 to February 1970, e.g., any of the Doc's. FYI, I was attached as the Pathfinder. Many thanks, TWF

This message is to members of the 1st Platoon 3rd Sqdn. 11th Armored Cavalry Regiment. To those of us who served with the 1st Platoon under Former Lt. Locklin... we have lost a fellow Trooper who was loved by his men. Lt Locklin was a fair man without biases, He led by example and respect. During the hardest times around christmas,Lt Locklin would share a cup of chocolate with his men anytime. Provided we were not being bothered by unfriendly people. We will always remember Lt Locklin . A Trooper. a Father and Grandfather. Our thoughts and prayers are with Doris and all her family. Luis Cirilohttp://www.11thcav.com/visitors/gbook.php?a=sign#

To Allan Wood downunder: I had a chance to read the chronicle of your trip to the land of the big PX, as
described by us over there with boots on the ground. So
glad us "Yank's gave you a hearty welcome, especially at
our Memorial in Washington. Our own "Band of Brothers"
welcomed you and Barb with the spirit maybe only we know.
Having been downunder some years ago I see our Aussie
brethren are never without words and frequent those places made famous by "Cheers." I wish I could have been
there. I was there for the 25th and glad the powers that be made things a tad warmer for you, more reminiscent of
your current weather. I'll add my "thank you for your service, Welcome Home, and remembering the 11thACR. Like I told you before, remember a time my track exchanged pleasantries at the Long Binh PX with an Aussie crew and that time I made the mistake of trying to keep up with an Aussie Warrant Officer and Sergeant Major at one of those...ahem....Pubs. A great memory though I will take with me to the Cav's Fiddler's Green. Stand Tall Mate and thank you for your chronicle. Mark...Air Cav and I-Troop, Vietnam 1968-70, 11th ACR. Feel free to fill me in on Vegemite. Tried it in Sydney. I guess everybody had a condiment for field rations. No comment mate! A Merry Christmas and Happy New Year down yonder to "Ya'll." That's Texican for "You All." Or with my New Jersey upbringing..."Youz Guys."
