The administration building is the designated meeting place for those who are attending the funeral for Philip
McPeake. As you approach the main entrance at Arlington National Cemetery tell the security guard you are there
for Phil's funeral service. He will direct you to drive straight through and then make one left turn followed by a second left into the administration building parking lot.
The graveside service is scheduled for 10:00 A.M. on
Wednesday, April 6th, and everyone is requested to arrive 30 minutes early. Due to traffic there may be a wait at the entrance.

I've received word that Philip W. McPeake passed away on Monday, March 7, 2011. He served with L Troop, 2nd Platoon, during 1968-1969. He also attended many of our reunions and appeared in "High Impact" a couple of years ago. This one hour show about the M-16 rifle can still be found on the History Channel once in a while.
Here's the current visitation and funeral details:
The visitation will be held next monday, March 14, 2011 from 2-4 P.M. at Highland Memorial Parks (865-588-0567), 5315 Kingston Pike, Knoxville, TN 37919. Afterward, a ceremony with full military honors will be conducted by a unit from the Tennessee National Guard. Arrangements have been made for his interment at Arlington National Cemetery. The date and time have yet to be scheduled.
Phil's obituary will be published this coming Friday in the Knoxville News Sentinel (knoxnews.com). Sympathy cards may be sent to his daughter, Kelly Lyon, 2321 Tipton Station Road, Knoxville, TN 37919. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations in Phil's memory be made to the 11th ACVVC Scholarship Fund.
